April 3 to April 12: Desert Design Week
Scottsdale
Desert Design Week is returning to Scottsdale April 3 to April 12 after a successful 2024 debut. Loosely modeled on Modernism Week in Palm Springs, the 10-day celebration of design, art, and architecture features a series of curated events that will include art gallery pop-ups, architecture and design exhibitions, open studios, and immersive experiences throughout Scottsdale and Phoenix. These events enable attendees to connect, collaborate, and build community through a shared appreciation of design.

April 4 to April 6: Tucson Folk Festival
Tucson
The family-friendly, 40th-annual Tucson Folk Festival, taking place at Jácome Plaza, is an exciting celebration of Americana and Folk Music traditions and their variations, including bluegrass, blues, country, jazz, Celtic, zydeco, and various Latin and Mexican styles of music. The spring festival in Arizona features six stages with over 150 live performances to enjoy.

April 5: Urban Wine Walk
Phoenix
Escape to the Amalfi Coast for Downtown Phoenix Inc.’s 15th-annual Urban Wine Walk as Cityscape transforms into a vibrant Italian Beach Club with live music, photo ops, and chairs for lounging. Guests can also enjoy food and drink options from over 20 participating bars and restaurants in Downtown Phoenix with a trio of different wine and food pairings for $5 each at every stop. Urban Wine Walk is slated for April 5, from 1 to 5 p.m.

April 5 to April 9: 35th-Annual Bell Lexus North Scottsdale Copperstate 1000
Tempe
The 35th-annual Bell Lexus North Scottsdale Copperstate 1000, presented by the Men’s Arts Council, zooms to the Valley April 5 to April 9. It is one of North America’s most celebrated vintage car road rallies, showcasing some of the finest working examples of vintage, sports, racing, classic, and grand touring automobiles manufactured before the 1974 model year. The Copperstate send-off is planned for Tempe Diablo Stadium on Sunday, April 6, beginning at 7:30 a.m., when the vehicles are lined up around the outfield and announced as they begin to depart at 10 a.m. There will also be a local car show in the West lot of the stadium for all ages from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. (Coffee and doughnuts will be available for purchase in the West parking lot.)

April 6: Rusty’s Annual Beer Fest at Mountain Shadows
Paradise Valley
Rusty’s Annual Beer Fest returns to Mountain Shadows on Sunday, April 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests of the springtime event will sip samples from over 30 different kinds of beer, dig into eats like bratwurst, potato salad, and pretzels with beer cheese, and take in the golf tournament with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. There will also be live music from Umpa Band and raffle prizes to round out the beer fest.
Cost: $49 for the Beer Fest only; $149 for the golf tournament and Beer Fest. Each ticket includes a punch card for 20 tastes.

April 10 to April 13: Northern Arizona Book Festival
Flagstaff
Hosted throughout Flagstaff, Northern Arizona Book Festival aims to foster literary community through the creation, publication, showcase, and investigation of contemporary literary arts from the area, as well as the Colorado Plateau, the American Southwest, and beyond. The spring festival in Arizona, which was launched in 1997, will feature a poetry workshop on April 11 at Northern Arizona University; the Heritage Square Book Fair on April 12; and much more.

April 12: The Original Taste
Scottsdale
Valley nonprofit Executive Council 70 presents its 52nd-annual The Original Taste, a formal food and wine event benefiting over 100 children’s charities on Saturday, April 12, from 7 to 11 p.m., at the Scottsdale Civic Center. The Original Taste will feature samples from more than 20 restaurants like Pyro, STK, Uchi, Cala, Kasai Japanese Steakhouse, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Velvet Taco, and more, alongside live performances from Dee Jay Silver and Josh Ross. The event will also feature a red carpet, cocktails, a custom hat-making station from Rancher Hat Bar, and more.
Cost: General admission tickets are $175 per person. VIP tickets are $275 and include access to a VIP lounge with premium views of the stage, preferential bar access, and admission to The Original Taste’s Afterparty starting at 11 p.m. onsite.

April 12: Yoga in the Outfield
Scottsdale
Yoga in the Outfield, taught by local yoga instructor Courtney Fox, will be hosted on Saturday, April 12, from 7:30 to 11 a.m. on the main stadium outfield grass of Salt River Fields in Scottsdale. Once class is complete, all yogis can attend the complimentary post-class cocktail mixer held on the Pepsi Patio on the main stadium concourse. There will also be local vendors on site to check out. This is a 21-plus event.

April 12 and April 13: Olive Blossom Celebration at Queen Creek Olive Mill
Queen Creek
Guests are invited to enjoy the beautiful weather and walk through Queen Creek Olive Mill’s scenic olive groves in full bloom during this two-day event. Enjoy live music, local vendors, cooking demos, and tractor farm tours as well as bites and sips from Di Olivia Italian Bistro & Bar and the Olive Branch. The olive mill opens at 8 a.m. each day.

Since the 1970s, the Pima County Fair has been a beloved Southern Arizona tradition. This year’s attendees can enjoy live entertainment (performers include Steve Aoki, Sevendust, Clay Walker, XZIBIT, Switchfoot, Brothers Osborne, and more), horse shows, great food, and, of course, a thrilling selection of rides for the whole family.

The Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition presents its annual Spring Open Studios Tour, taking place over the weekend of April 25 to April 27. Featuring 55 working artists across the Verde Valley, this event offers attendees the opportunity to visit with the artists in their studios, gain insight into how they create their artwork, and purchase one-of-a-kind items. The tour is self-guided and will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

April 25 to April 27: Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market

The iconic Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market is making its spring return to WestWorld of Scottsdale, April 25 to April 27. The annual event will transform more than 120,000 square feet into a treasure hunter’s dream, with vintage gems, artisanal creations, and handcrafted finds from more than 160 nationwide vendors. Attendees will also enjoy live music and food vendors.

Celebrating its 14th year, Scottsdale Jazz Festival–taking place April 26 at 3 p.m. at Scottsdale Civic Center–aligns with UNESCO’s International Jazz Day. The exciting event will pay special tribute to the late legendary musician and producer, Quincy Jones. Performers will include Richard Elliot and Rick Braun, who will perform as the electrifying duo, RnR; Dan Pinson, a woodwind master and music educator, will also appear with his All-Star Band; Carlos Rivas Y Mex-sal, featuring Luisito Rosario; and Nayo Jones of the Nayo Jones Experience; and more.

May 2 to May 4: Arizona Wine Country Artists Village Arts and Craft Fair

The Arizona Wine Country Artists Village presents its next art and fine-craft fair over the weekend of May 2 to May 4 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday). Held at Old Town Activity Park in the heart of Old Town Cottonwood, the fair will showcase both state and regional artists, fine-crafters, and their works. The family- and pet-friendly event will be within walking distance of over a dozen restaurants, 10 tasting rooms, galleries, lodging, and more.

Melt Fest 2025 will take over Arcosanti for a carbon-neutral festival experience like no other. Melt Fest, presented by Arcosanti and The Cosanti Foundation, features a pair of stages on which more than 40 artists will perform live. Guests can will also enjoy DJs and engage in educational talks, discussion panels, workshops, breathwork sessions, tattoos, pool parties, live art, yoga workshops, sound healing experiences, flow performances, a 360-sound stage, camping, and much more this this three-day spring festival in Arizona. Fifty percent of the proceeds will help grow The Cosanti Foundation and support its mission to educate the world.
